The NRASD is a Principal Recipient (PR) of a Grant from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. One of the objectives of this grant is the strengthening of M&E capacity and ensuring data quality in the quarterly PUDR report. As a means of achieving this objective, the NRASD wishes to appoint an M&E officer, to be situated in Johannesburg.
The M&E Officer is to liaise with the Sub-Recipients (SR) and verify their centrally consolidated M&E data on a monthly basis, as well as doing ad hoc visits to the sites to verify the information at site level.

This Directorate, located within the University Education Branch, is responsible for providing leadership on various policies in the Higher Education (HE) sector, including their development, review, implementation, monitoring and improvement. Specifically it is responsible for the research outputs and research development policies and administration, as well policies on African Languages in Higher Education. The Directorate is also responsible for ensuring the implementation of international scholarship opportunities in higher education, some of which are guided by bilateral or multilateral agreements involving South Africa, as well as policies relating to internationalisation of HE. Amongst other activities, the Directorate administers the implementation of Higher Education HIV and AIDS (HEAIDS)programme in the sector.

Based full-time in Bloemfontein or Nelspruit, South Africa, this position oversees and supports all monitoring and evaluation and operational research activities of the NASTAD South Africa (SA) Programme. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting out on a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan and process that provides ongoing and accurate data to NASTAD, the Department of Health and funders, tracks and provides evidence needed to improve activities, and assesses the outcome and impact of NASTAD SA’s programme. This position is supervised by NASTAD SA’s Country Director.
