Governance and APRM Programme Proposal Development Consultancy: Terms of Reference

The Governance and African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Programme (GAP) of the South African Institute of International Affairs is coming to the end of its current funding period on 31 December 2015. GAP is currently conceptualising a new programme from 2016-2018 and several concept notes for smaller projects have been sent out in response to calls for proposals. GAP seeks to solicit the services of a qualified consultant to assist in finalising a fundable proposal, and to develop the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) skills of the programme team members.

The Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) Officer is responsible for supporting research, monitoring and evaluation activities for MSSA core business and projects and report to Head of Research. As a member of Research, M&E team, the RME Officer will work closely with RME Lead, project managers, Medical Development Team in South Africa, MSI staffs, regional staff and other key stakeholders to ensure the attainment of MSSA goals and objectives though closer involvement in data collection, analysis and interpretation of various studies conducted within MSSA.

CLEAR Deputy Director : Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management

The main purpose of this role is to provide operational support to the Director in overseeing CLEAR-AA’s programme development and implementation. As CLEAR-AA consolidates its presence within the African region, the role requires the ability to develop partnerships and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders. This will go hand-in-hand with the development of M&E and Performance Management systems within South Africa and increasingly across Anglophone Africa. The position will require putting systems in place to strengthen knowledge sharing and network building.
