The National Evaluation Plan for 2016/17 and 3 evaluations (of the Social Sector Expanded Public Works Programme, Technology and Human Resources for Industry, and Urban Settlements Development Grant) were approved by Cabinet this week, with some of them discussed in great detail. See statements below. The stats in the NEP are old ones (the memo was meant to be tabled in November 2015) and the updated figures are 54 evaluations covering over R90 billion in government expenditure with 25 approved reports, about 12 close to completion, and 5 dropped. If you would like a copy of the evaluation reports please contact Refilwe Masikane at refilwe@dpme.gov.za, indicating whether you would like the summary report (1/5/25 pages) or the full evaluation report (or both).
